Dr. Rudy Fedrizzi

In honor of National Public Health Week, Dr. Rudy Fedrizzi, White River Junction Public Health Services District Director for Vermont Department of Health has shared his story on public health in Vermont.

“For years in clinical medicine as an obstetrician-gynecologist I was privileged to take care of women across their lifespan for their health needs. Then about a dozen years ago I transitioned to a non-clinical public health role. Now as District Director Of Public Health Services in the White River Junction region of the Vermont Department of Health, I feel like the entire community is my “patient” and I can have much greater influence than I had in my medical career, working with area residents and partner organizations to address the social factors that adversely affect health.”
