Health Career Awareness Month
Colby McGinn
As part of Health Career Awareness Month in VT we are featuring individuals who have made a choice to pursue a career in healthcare. The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont#healthcareers www.vthealthcareers.org www.svtahec.org
“I have wanted to become a doctor since I was a child. Medicine has allowed me to blend my passion for math and science along with my love for connecting with others. This interest was reaffirmed through my connection with Southern Vermont AHEC, first as a student in their MedQuest Program, then as an intern with CSHIP, College Internship Program, and as a MedQuest Counselor during my first year of medical school. Southern Vermont AHEC was integral in my exploration of medicine and has continued to provide insight into my future career as a physician. I am grateful for these opportunities and recommend AHEC programs for any student interested in the healthcare field.”
